A “drolatic” film diary, not quite private nor outrageously public. After having been checked, peeled, polished and calibrated, your eyes discover an incredible painting and some figures from an unspeakable country. The painting is Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, painted by Pieter Bruegel around 1555. The country is Belgium. Between the two, a filmmaker, unemployed people, psychoanalysts, philosophers, party presidents and a Prime Minister assiduously questioning themselves on a subject: TO LOOK, what does it mean? A question with multiple ramifications to which the film wants to respond simply and with the complicity of a guest of honour: Icarus in person.
